Spunlace Jet Strips (Nippon Nozzle)

Frankl & Thomas supplies Nippon Nozzle jet strips for hydroentanglement systems in nonwoven fabric production. Nippon Nozzle produced the first commercial spunlace jet strips in the early 1970s and remains the world leader in water jet strips for spunlace applications.

Spunlace Jet Strips (Nippon Nozzle)

Why Nippon Nozzle Spunlace Jet Strips Matter

Hydroentanglement quality depends on uniform water jet formation across the full web width. Worn strips with eroded holes, plugged orifices, or inconsistent hole geometry create weak spots, uneven bonding, and fabric defects. Irregular jets waste water pressure and energy while producing inconsistent nonwoven properties.

Nippon Nozzle's custom manufacturing capabilities allow for capillary diameters significantly smaller than 100 microns while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy and energy from each water jet needle. Precision perforation and uniform hole spacing generate consistent jets at pressures up to 400 bar, and durable materials resist erosion from high-velocity water flow to extend strip life and maintain fabric quality.
