Indorama Ventures and Huvis have announced a joint venture to build a polyester staple plant in the US that will produce 60,000 tons per year for production of low melt fiber.

This plant will strengthen both Huvis’s and Indorama Ventures’ business portfolio and enhances competitive position in key industry verticals with a strong platform for future growth. It will also bring significant synergy and cost savings benefits.

The location has not been finalized, but production is anticipated to start in 2019.
