PrimaLoft, an outdoor clothing insulation manufacturer has decided to increase their use of recycled polyester. This will tie in with their five-year process in which their ultimate goal is to have 90 percent of their apparel insulation range made of a minimum 50 percent post-consumer recycled polyester. Their recycled polyester is primarily derived from plastic water bottles.

Jochen Lagemann, PrimaLoft managing director for Europe and Asia, said: “Many of our brand partners are equally committed to helping the environment, so increasing the recycled content in our products will also be beneficial to their sustainability goals, without any impact on end user performance.”
